In 2010, Compassion Alliance hosted Christmas for Ocala, an event that brought local churches, businesses, and other non-profit organizations together around the holidays to serve and love people in the community. The outreach was held at the Southeaster Livestock Pavilion in Ocala and hosted 9,200 guests. Compassion Alliance gave away 120,000 pounds of bagged groceries. The event also included free hair cuts, family photos, a children’s area, rock climbing, basketball, live music, food, movies, giveaways and more. The Gospel was preached and ultimately 2,851 people surrendered their lives to the Lordship of Jesus Christ.
