Haiti

Compassionate Alliance has been working in Haiti since 2005. We increased our presence following the tragic earthquake in 2010 which displaced thousands of children. In response to this crisis we constructed the Ryan Epps Children's Home in Port Au Prince which houses 170 children to this day.

2010 Haiti Earthquake

Our Response Efforts

On Jan 19, 2010, Compassionate Alliance partnered with Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines to respond to victims of the Jan 12th earthquake that shattered the nation of Haiti. To date, more than 6 million pounds of food, medical supplies and aid has been able to reach those in desperate need. Through the strength of this partnership, CA and Royal Caribbean are equipped to offer a long term solution for the continuing needs of the people of Haiti. Each ship is able to carry over 100 pallets and with 3 ships per each week traveling to Haiti, this provides a way for CA to be able to supply more than 35 different hospitals, orphanages, and clinics and reaching countless communities in desperate need. We are so thankful to the Lord for how He has set up all the right connections to answer the cries of hurting people that have lost so much when they had so little. Receiving the supplies is only half the testimony. In addition to this unprecedented delivery solution, CA was able to establish relationships that enabled securing a warehouse and ground logistics for redistribution.  CA is supporting a full team of Haitians who are committed to assisting the long term recovery. The doors are open and the opportunities are great as we show the love of Christ in meeting the basic needs of the people of Haiti.
